All our hopes are as weak as a candle.
Warming the soul but do not burn bright.
What they all fear is more than they can handle.
To join the fallen stars tonight.
When the wind whispers an order
desperate men send their prayers to the sky.
The birds may carry them over the border.
First falls the silence then mothers will cry.
His tale is heard yet was not told.
His fruit is fallen yet it is still green.
His youth is spend yet he's not old.
He saw the worlds remnants yet he was not seen.
Then death stretches out her sweet hands.
Demanding a life's surrender.
She's smiling at him and he stands
considering to attend her.
He sought and found death in his womb.
He looked for life and love and found it was to burst.
He walked the earth and knew it's his tomb.
And now he takes his last breath
though he just took his first.
Then death stretches out her sweet hands.
Demanding a life's surrender.
She's smiling at him and he stands
considering to attend her.

Candle II - I miss you
12:11
|
|||
We have been torn apart.
Tears of my crying heart
fading to distant light.
You may die tonight.
You slowly disappear.
Contours will fade one day.
Pray one word but the wind
carries your name away.
Hope is a candle, fear the cold
which consumes us.
This heart is mine but it is just for you.
Don't be afraid to miss me for
I'll be waiting.
Just find a way to survive!
How could the world be good again
when so much
bad is occurring these times?
How could I want to live on here
all without you?
Please find a way to survive!
Unfortunately, all this was not meant to be.
I hope among them all you will be finding me.
In another time.
In another life.
The candle's dead and I am left to bear the cold.
I guess the most I miss having someone to hold.
I'm no longer here.
Now I disappear.

Life took a wayward turn.
I never know where you're right now
nor how you are.
So many things I wanna say.
So many things we left undone.
Did I miss to hold you close?
Please, don't be afraid to miss me!
Please, don't let us fall apart!
Please, look at our lovely pictures!
Please, remember who we are!
Far, far from home you are.
May the waves convey my words
and guide you home.
Ships which had left with cheerful men
now return with fading smiles
and sunday rain sets in.
Please, don't be afraid to miss me!
Please, don't let us fall apart!
Please, look at our lovely pictures!
Please, remember who we are!
Please, don't be afraid to miss me!
Please, don't let us fall apart!
Please! Oh, how I love you!
Please, remember who we are!

The Red Shoes
10:33
|
|||
Shoemakers wife sympathized with
oh, this little, dainty girl.
Sat down and made, best she could,
those little shoes of old red cloth
Clumsy but meant well.
For that little girl.
She got none else so she wore
them at her mothers funeral.
Admonitions by father who burst:
„Oh what shabby dancing shoes!
They're red and they look worn!
And you're supposed to mourn!“
Thou shall dance now
'til you're pale and cold.
May the children
hear you, fear you!
Though she well knew that red shoes
were improper for communion,
she put them on and she spent
no thought on prayers nor sermon.
And every one cast views
on her pretty shoes.
When she walked in, it seemed as though
all figures and monuments
Turned all their heads, fixed their eyes
on, oh, her pretty dancing shoes.
Condemning what they saw.
She will walk no more.
Thou shall dance now
'til you're pale and cold.
May the children
hear you, fear you!
And soon she starts to dance around.
The shoes do not obey.
They seem to lift her off the ground
and carry her away.
And on she danced for dance she must.
With shoes which she could not loose.
Through rain and sunshine, mud and dust.
God have mercy!
Into the churchyard she was drawn.
Where everyone's at rest.
The dead there did not dance with her.
But she did until dawn.
And on she danced for dance she must.
With shoes which she could not loose.
Through rain and sunshine, mud and dust.
Oh what pretty dancing shoes!
Thou shall dance now
'til you're pale and cold.
May the children
hear you, fear you!

Hades
12:43
|
|||
He:
Down in this chamber you will stay.
Guarded by me until the day
when your delusions disappear.
It’s for your own good, my dear.
You tried to steal away that night.
This was the moment I gained insight.
That you are sick, that you’re insane.
I will help to adjust your brain.
She:
Sallow light and dripping stone.
Imprisoned in the house I own.
I fear this vault will be my tomb.
You’re my tormentor, my doom.
He:
And you are mine.
She:
Free me from this vault and I’ll do as you please.
One hand stretched out, it wants to appease.
One hand on the knife and ready to strike.
Come, darling, closer and do as you like.
A little bit closer, I want to caress.
In your blue eyes I see sudden distress.
Lay down, my darling, this knife is the cure.
Just one more stab, cause I want to be sure.
Around the corpse I start to pour
the gasoline upon the floor.
A fainting trail of smoke is sown
Along the path the match has flown.
The flames are beginning to leap up. Now the orchestra resounds.
And as I conduct the movement, the choir tears it to the grounds.
I turn my back and leave. And the music slowly fades.
And as I walk I start singing how I escaped from Hades.
